PRIORITIZING SAFETY

At PsychSafeSupplies, safety is a priority.  
Some of the 2025 Joint Commission safety principles that we adhere to include:

NPSG.15.01.01 Identify individuals served safety risks:​

Reduce the risk for suicide.

NPSG.16.01.01 Improve health care equity:​

Improving health care equity is a quality and patient safety priority. For example, health care disparities in the patient population are identified and a written plan describes ways to improve health care equity.

Our commitment to safety extends to our products.
Here are some ways we incorporate safety features in our product development:

  • We utilize FDA food-safe silicone for our silicone products.

    • Our silicone is platinum-cured, approved by the FDA as safe for baking with and eating from. 

    • Silicone is flexible, unlike plastic, glass, and metal, which can be sharp when broken.

    • Silicone is durable and easily cleaned; It is able to withstand our rigorous testing with hospital-grade cleaning products.​​

  • Our pencils have earned the Children's Product Certificate.

    • These products must comply with the standards set by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

    • Our pencils are also short in length to reduce risk of harm with consideration of mass proportionality.

  • Our large-print books are paperback to reduce weight and hard edges.​​

​

  • We consider the safety and ethics of our manufacturers, ensuring the policies of those handling our products aligns with our values.
